| Dear friends,
It is now election day 2004, the day that we as American's exercise a freedom and privilege that we as a nation, and as a people have been given by God, in this, the world's first true democratic republic. For which I have no doubt at all in my mind is the greatest country on earth, for many reasons.
I have belief's, based upon principles, which guide me in this decision. At the same time, however; I constantly read and study both sides of the political spectrum, and know the reasons and justifications those other people use for their cause. I never blindly follow, especially when it comes to something as important as this. I firmly believe they are wrong for numerous reasons, some of which I will lay out here today. With this being said, now I will delve into why I think the conservative candidate, President Bush, is the man we need for another 4 years.
-National Security
The world was forever changed after 9/11, or at least appeared to be at the time. In my relatively short existence on this earth, I have never seen such unity and united ness among all American's, in the way that I did then. Some of us actually felt the physical brunt of this, and lost our lives (salute), some more were injured and disabled for the rest of their lives, most of us, however; were enraged at the horror and terrorism that had been brought to our "front door step". I think many American's felt the way that I did after the time. I seriously wanted to avenge my countrymen's death, even if it possibly lead to my own. We learned in Sep 11's ashes that we truly were dealing with evil people, that would stop at nothing, until they had obliterated us all. This is the part where we stepped into the fray, with our resolve and determination to never let this happen again. We learned that if you sit complacently and do nothing in the face of danger, just as with anything else in life, people or in this case, truly evil people, will walk all over you.
I believe our President -whom if you remember, came into office wanting to be a domestic President- correctly adopted a new philosophy, and that is if we do not aggressively and actively pursue our evil enemies and those who give sanctuary to them, the power of those who hate us will continue to grow and grow larger, until even the United States of America - The World's only superpower, will fall into weakness and a continual downward spiral, until they completely have us where they want us, prime for the taking. Some may say this sounds like "the glass if half full". Oh yeah? Just a few days ago in analysis of the new Osama Bin Laden video, Arab media watch and US intelligence translators have discovered that Bin Laden makes a veiled threat against the "red states" of America, if they support Bush, in contrast against the "blue states". He is now trying to wedge us Americans against one another, because he knows that if we can't love one another and stay true to each other, as a country, that we would eventually destroy ourselves, which is what he wants. So, the reasons are clear, if we fail to aggressively meet the current threats of today, our tomorrow will be vulnerable.
